私の履歴書 — Watashi no Rirekisho

In front of me, there is one sheet of paper
As I notice, the fun season is over
Someone brought this paper
On this usual piece of paper,
there is no reason for my resume to be there,
but even so I tried to write it, just for the sake of trying

There is nothing really unique about it,
I was raised in a suburb of a city
with my sensitive siblings
Went to a primary school which
didn't have much room for choices
My middle school was chosen
by my parents due to circumstances
And the same happened with highschool
My grades were the same as everyone else's
If I think about it, everything was chosen by adults
I wonder what was chosen by me?
I was used to the dull life
where I'd write what I've been told to write
But I know it's not like this
The sweat I shed won't be mentioned

There are too many things I cannot include
The person I loved, the dream that I once accomplished
My life is surely something that can't be written
This road of mine that isn't like anyone else's

The section for my qualifications
is quite large
The thing that bothered me for an instant,
doesn't really hurt me that much
To be able to say that I am myself
is my most unbeatable qualification
What lacks, I can make up for, from now on

The person I loved, the dream that I once accomplished
My life is surely something that can't be written
This road of mine that isn't like anyone else's

When I was little and decided I'd become
a magnificent adult, that girl is in far past
Even though the society is filled with warriors,
even after dreams, more than I have a long time ago,
I've opened my heart's window
It's impossible for me to write a resume
It's impossible to write "It's impossible" on it
The format of a resume is impossible
Putting one year into one line is impossible
