サンセット — SANSETTO

If I can keep looking at your face like this,
as the sun sets, then surely
this scenery that will never come again,
but which I have spent with you
will get burned into my eyes

When I am happy about something,
you're the first person I send a mail to
I feel like I can fly to the sky,
because you'd always listen to me
and lift the heavy burdens
that are too much for me to carry

Without having to even show it on my face,
when I feel bad you'd say
"I understand, I understand" and nod your head
Spending time with you became a habit
When we are together there is no sorrow

Ah, if time would stop right now,
we'd both still stay the same
But it's fine if we have to jostle with
the rigid flow of time,
let's just stay together

Until the sun sets, like this
I want to watch over the waves
together with you, I always feel like this
Even if next year, and the summers after it
an unchanged future will face us

I remember when you first invited me,
seeming silly as you were so shy
Because we were both alone and oddballs,
you asked me would I like to go out for a tea or something
Feeling relieved that I'm not alone,
I was proud and wanted to keep you to myself more than before
If I had not met you, my life would've been very different now

For example, if I'd go to this sea alone
I'd watch the sea, in the end would just waste my time
I'd take a picture and probably go back home
The surfer who seems pretty unskilled, and
the children stained with sand - they all seem
so lively and interesting because you are here with me

Ah, if time would stop right now,
we'd both still stay the same
But it's fine if we have to jostle with
the rigid flow of time,
let's just stay together

If I can keep looking at your face like this,
as the sun sets, then surely
this scenery that will never come again,
but which I have spent with you
will get burned into my eyes

Until the sun sets, like this
I want to watch over the waves
together with you, I always feel like this
Even if next year, and the summers after it
an unchanged future will face us
